Ok, so maybe comparing Team USA to David is a little bit much. They were far from the underdogs that people expected to see on Sunday night against Team Canada. I'm not sure about you but I think that this hockey game ranks up there as one of the best games in the Olympics in a good while. USA didn't look scared going up against basically the NHL All-Star team that is Canada. This team played fearless hockey for three periods and I couldn't be more proud. The only way this game could have played out better was if it was a semifinal match or something of a little more importance rather than just a Group A game.
Was it just me but did Brodeur look a little nervous early on? Overconfidence with a little bit of jitters? He overplayed pucks and looked like he was trying to be almost too relaxed in net and do too much. The play of the "best" goaltender in the game seemed subpar to that of Millers. Despite being outshot by almost near half the amount of shots, USA's goalie Ryan Miller stood on his head at one point to try and will his team to vistory, and succeeded. What a game!!!
8/10
What would you rank this game?
